Carol has been named 2019 DC Mother of the Year® by American Mothers, Inc. She has been immersed in parent education for nearly 17 years, beginning with the Parent Encouragement Program, Inc. where she served on the Board of Directors and trained to lead parenting classes and present community talks as a Certified Parent Educator.
Today, Carol engages with parents and families through the portal she created, The Parenting 411. Carol is a co-founder and managing partner of a parent education company where she designs and presents parenting programs, consults directly with families, and creates customized tools to assist parents as they strive to encourage their children’s healthy growth and development.
Carol speaks to parents, locally and nationally, about parenting and family life as well as fostering children’s success in academics and in life, at schools, community organizations, and guest appearances on radio programs. She also hosts Parenting 411 on WOLB 1010 AM where she explores various matters affecting family life from discipline, communications, and education to achieving work-life balance, effective co-parenting, and supporting special needs.
Formerly, Carol served as a Senior Marketing Program Manager at the U.S. Postal Service, overseeing a product portfolio exceeding $1B in annual revenue. Carol and her husband are the proud parents of two sons who are attending college.
