Christianity, It’s a Lifestyle! Are You BC or AD?
The lifestyle of Christianity is about you, not God. Know this, God loves you. There is no one he loves more than you. What your father was doesn’t matter. What your mother was doesn’t matter. What your circle of friends did, doesn’t matter. You can step out of the drama and dysfunction to become pure gold. Kirk Franklin was given away by his mother and forty years later, she still doesn’t want a relationship with him. Steve Harvey has been divorced twice and married three times. Donnie McClurkin was molested as a child and fathered a child out of wedlock as an adult. But God….
But God has chosen them! He forgives and he prospers. Because like me, at one moment, all those men decided, when we know better we do better and that’s what you have to do. Make the decision to follow Christ. Here’s how…
Temptations
Before making a decision, always check your motives in at least two ways. BC versus AD. Think of your life as a time before Christ and a time after the death of the selfish you and the awakening of Christ within you. A time when you didn’t know better and a time when you know better. As you face temptations think about the difference in the answers each one would give. For instance, you’re in line at the grocery store and just before you get to the register, someone jumps in line in front of you. BC would tap the person on the shoulder and correct the error immediately. However, what would AD do? AD checks-in with God first. You know, how at times we feel like we have the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other shoulder. Well, at times I feel like I am the devil in Anita BC and I am the angel in Anita AD. And I thank God for his covering grace and his forgiving mercy for things I did back when I was Anita BC.

Anita BC stands for Anita Before Christ. Before I became aware that God had the Top 10 as directions for my life. Before I became aware he is my provider. Before I knew all promotions come from him. Back in the days of Anita BC I thought it was me and all my hard work that earned me the gains I’ve made in my life. I thought I was responsible for making every decision just right or I would end up living in a box on the street.
Now, as Anita AD which stands for Anita After Death, death of the carnal. I am very aware that he’s always watching. Now, I know I matter. Now, I know my decisions matter. Now, I know my behavior matters. Not just to adhere to the American laws but to live a life of protection, prosperity and promotion with Christ. I don’t have to plot and plan and pray every minute of the day. I can seek guidance knowing God already had a plan for my life. I can ask, believe and receive by simply acting like I already have it and you can to. Take inventory of your life. Pick out the things that are Godly and the things that are not. Make the decision to start living an AD lifestyle and watch yourself soar! Watch God turn it around and bless you beyond your wildest dreams. I live it every day.
