We all have dysfunctional families. Though we have to live with their decisions, they do not define who we are or what we become. As a child, my guest Desiree Smith carried the pain of being denied by her father. Like many of us, it didn’t stop her from growing in life but it did hinder her healing, her emotional healing.

The emotional baggage she carried played itself out in the many ways she tried to cope. But as time went on, matters took a major turn and her family blossomed. In our interview she teaches us how to mend broken relationships and move forward in life with the fractured family pieces. She’s one of six authors of a new collaborative book titled, Women Who Overcome. A must see! Watch now!
