Finding Love In The Most Valuable Place of All

Who do you put first? Society tells us that love in and of itself is selfless. That it is wrong to love yourself first. Radical Christians say, God comes first. Some men say, the husband comes first. Single moms say, their kids must come first. But tell me, what is she giving you if she loves herself last? Who is she giving you if she doesn’t have enough love left for herself at all?

#LovingYourselfFirst is about knowing who you are, whose you are, what you deserve and why. It’s about having healthy self-esteem and self-confidence, exercising self-care. You are the only you, you’re going to get, so take good care of your body, mind, soul and spirit! It’s about Finding Your Voice, Speaking Your Truth and Living in Peace! It’s about getting healed from the past, educated in the present and excited about the future. It’s simply about loving you.

Changes in our society in the last fifty years, have made life harder on women. The number of fathers in the home are less. The number of divorces are up. Domestic violence is up. The number of working mothers is up. The number of neighbors you could trust to watch your children are down. We’ve completely lost Big Mama. And the cost of everything has gone sky high. All of these issues and some unnamed ones, make the role of the woman in our society – to say the least, a stretched one.

How is today’s woman, in a healthy manner, to work through the issues of her past, take on the emergencies of the present and plan for the future? How is she to process and forgive the abusive relationship of her past, give her best on the job, pickup a sick child from school, get the child to the doctor, make her night class, meet her Boaz, encourage her child when Dad didn’t show-up as promised and save for college tuition all at the same time?

By making the time to love herself first!

By making the time to nurture sister-girl relationships.

By making the time to go to the spa.

By making the time to get coaching or counseling.

By making the time to do what you enjoy and find fulfilling.
