When Pastors Battle: Can Churches Share Attendees?

Do you attend more than one church? Could you attend churches of different denominations? Notice the title says ‘attendees’ not ‘members’. I find the heated debates between certain religious leaders very interesting. They are all battling for the highest membership and beckoning to see who is right after the rapture. At the core of the disagreement is the true meaning of various verses of scripture in the Bible. But consider this, if God isn’t answering the question now, what makes them think He will answer then. I think there are more important tasks on God’s list, such as whether or not we get the lessons from the scriptures. Are we living the life of a good and faithful servant?

For the past couple years, I’ve been following 6 different Pastors from 6 different churches and 5 different denominations. Churches with multiple services and the revolution of live streaming have made it so much easier to “attend” multiple church services. Add in sermons being broadcasted over mainstream radio, and YouTube channels filled with nothing but preaching, it’s beyond easy to hear The Word being dissected every day.

Believe it or not, while these six pastors may disagree on the interpretation of the historic context of the text, my six pastors have never contradicted each other on the way we should live our lives. They have never contradicted each other on who God is and they have never contradicted each other on what God expects from us.

Question: I’m really interested in finding out, if it’s just me or are other Christians doing it to, could you attend more than one church? Could you attend churches of different denominations? Have you given up on church altogether? Share Your answer on Facebook or Twitter!
