A law degree, a full time job, four kids and you’re living in a homeless shelter. Can you imagine how Angela must have felt when her violent husband walked out and she lost everything? Well, power to the strength of a woman! Because she is now Maryland Delegate Angela Angel, back on her feet and taking the state of Maryland by storm for the protection of women and children. In our interview she shares why she is launching a movement titled #BeyondOctober. She explains why it is important to think of domestic violence all throughout the year and how she uses her past experience of being on public assistance to help women get back on their feet.

One bad chapter, does not end your story. You can have better by getting up, putting the pity party in a box and deciding to use the assistance available to climb higher! Help is here for you, because I know sometimes we don’t want to be fixed, we just want to be heard. Enjoy the interview!
